RightKit does not collect, store, or upload any of your personal data. There are no accounts, ads, or usage analytics.
Your files
Creating, copying, moving, converting images, computing hashes and every other file action happens on your Mac. Your files never leave it. RightKit runs in the App Sandbox and can only access folders you authorize.
Settings
Templates, favorite folders and preferences are stored only on your Mac. You can remove them when you uninstall RightKit.
QR codes
QR codes are generated on your Mac. The text is never uploaded.
Translation
When you use the Google Translate or Baidu Translate service, RightKit puts the selected text in a link and opens that translation website in your default browser. Your browser sends the text to that website, and its privacy policy applies. RightKit itself does not send or keep the text.
Update checks (website version only)
The website version asks GitHub for the latest version number. The request contains no personal information, but GitHub sees your IP address as with any web request. You can turn off automatic update checks in Settings. The App Store version makes no such request; the App Store handles updates.
This website
This website is a static site. It uses no cookies and no analytics or tracking scripts. The hosting provider may keep standard access logs for security and operations.
